Leeds City College
Leeds City College is one of the largest further education institutions in the country with more than 20,000 students. The college operates out of three main campuses in Leeds city centre and provides a vibrant and diverse learning environment for students from all walks of life.

Leeds City College wanted a campaign to break the status quo of education marketing and portray the college as a community, full of individuality, confidence and expression, with artwork inspired by the individualistic and authentic students LCC currently educates.

The campaign included OOH advertising, social graphics, a 200-page prospectus and other print materials, as well as a hero video, bespoke soundtrack, and multiple photography shoots. Leeds City College were excited about work that the further education sector hadn’t seen before, work that portrayed college as a lifestyle choice, rather than just an education.

A typeface inspired by the city

High Rise is a custom typeface built to be boldly individual. It’s loud, proud and inspired by new developments in Leeds City Centre. High Rise represents the growth in the city, it’s population and the young people who will inherit it.

150 unique elements

Every piece of artwork is different. A collage of layered imagery, colour, texture and shape provides depth to every piece of material and portrays the uniqueness, individuality and diversity of every student at Leeds City College.

Student showcase

Photography and video focussed on the students of LCC as people, rather than another grade or number. LCC believes the student journey is more than academic achievement, and the holistic development of their students is just as important. To convey this, the imagery showcases personality, humour and confidence.
